Found: Antique bottle at expansion construction site!

from the Delavan Historical Society (DHS): Camp was one of the county’s pioneer settlers, moving from New York in the mid-nineteenth century. He was well regarded as a knowledgable and respected druggist. He lived until age 87, and remained involved in city affairs until the end of his life.

Gordon Yadons vignette from January 7, 1998, refers to James Camp. He is listed as “other Delavan post-civil war drug store proprietor.”

James Camp whose son was James Lincoln was the first burial in Spring Grove cemetery, June 27, 1866.

It’s interesting to note DHS also has a similar bottle in their displays.

Questions for our community:  Did Camp live near to the library? Where was the pharmacy located?
