TAKE ACTION!

On March 14, an Executive Order defunding and attempting to eliminate the Institute of Museums and Library Servics (IMLS) took effect. IMLS is the only source of federal funding of libraries and its pending elimination places crucial services at risk. Federal law requires IMLS to provide support to public libraries, but that support is currently only guaranteed through September 2025.
