We are thrilled to invite the community to a Beam Signing Ceremony on Friday, December 19, 2025 for the Delavan Public Library!
Where: CITY of DELAVAN Municipal Building, 123 S 2nd St, Delavan
(Ceremony will begin in Council Chambers at 11am followed by Beam Signing on premises.) Beam will be in place for “signing” thru 3pm, Open to the Public.
The ceremony will begin at 11am with remarks by Mayor Ryan Schroeder and Linda Zell, Library Board President.
Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library. Attendees – City, County, and State representatives, Donors, and community members are also invited to “Sign the Beam” in celebration of the library’s expansion project. Markers will be provided.
This last beam will then “Top Off” being the last beam placed. Following tradition, an American flag will be raised atop the structure along with an evergreen wreath symbolizing growth and ensuring good luck to the building’s future.
