Beam Signing Ceremony on Friday, December 19, 2025 for the Delavan Public Library! Today’s Beam Signing Ceremony took place in Council Chambers at the City of Delavan protecting attendees from the bitter cold.  It seems, the weather partners with us for each exciting milestone! Today, it was bitter cold.   (If you remember, Groundbreaking had extensive rain!)

The ceremony took place at  11am with remarks by Mayor Ryan Schroeder and Linda Zell, Library Board President. Refreshments were provided by the Friends of the Library.  Attendees – City, County, and State representatives, Donors, and community members are also invited to “Sign the Beam” in celebration of the library’s expansion project.

Weighing in at 200 pounds and 10 feet in length, the beam signed is the last one to be placed in the structure.

More pictures will be added to this post in the future.

Our apologies for the short notice.  For efficiency and keeping to the construction schedule, time is of the essence.  Your understanding is appreciated.
